Guatemala City, - Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with Mother Ines Ayau, the abbess of Guatemala's Orthodox Monastery of the Holy and Life-Giving Trinity, the Laura of Mambre.
Mother Ines is known for her vigorous work aimed at popularizing the Russian language and Orthodox values in the Latin American region.
Lavrov will give the monastery an icon of Saint George, who is very much honored in Guatemala.
