Thousands of vehicles from Bulgaria are expected to flood the Greek roads as our neighbors are visiting Greece to celebrate Christmas. The massive tourism wave is expected on Christmas and New Year’s Day according to the Bulgarian newspaper Telegraph.
Telegraph headlines read: “We are going to support Greek economy giving 75 million leva.” The Institute for Analysis and Assessment in Tourism says that more than 150,000 Bulgarian tourists are going to visit Greece at Christmas, each one of whom will be spending 500 leva (250 euros).
According to the institute’s chairman, Rumen Draganov, 800,000 Bulgarians travel abroad during Christmas.
The Greek and Bulgarian bilateral tourist relations are excellent. A lot of Greeks visit Bulgaria for vacation or to shop at Bulgaria’s cheap markets, supporting in this way the country’ s economy.
Bulgarian visitors will experience a different pleasure visiting our country and will contribute financially to the tourism sector.
