A bullet in the mail and a death threat were sent to Greece’s finance minister, Yannis Stournaras, by a little-known group called “Cretan Revolution”.
It warned the minister against any efforts to foreclose homes and evict homeowners, a police source said.
The finance minister has angered many Greeks by imposing austerity measures that were demanded by the EU and IMF as the price for bailout aid.
