At least five people are killed in protests in Niger against the magazine's cartoons of the Prophet Mohammad, police sources said, bringing the death toll from two days of violence to 10.
Rioters burned at least eight churches in Niamey in protest at the depiction of the prophet Mohammed on the cover of France's Charlie Hebdo weekly, according to local reports.
Bars, hotels and various businesses under non-Muslim ownership or bearing signs of French companies were also targeted.
