CNN television, telling about the events in Ukraine, demonstrated ignorance of geography of this country. As shown on the map Slavyansk was located in the Crimea, in the territory which now belongs to Russia.
According to “Vesti FM”, the wrong card was used to illustrate the news about the transition of Slavyansk and Kramatorsk to the control of the Ukrainian security forces. Kramatorsk was at the right place, in the Donetsk region. Slavyansk, which in reality is situated 18 km from Kramatorsk, was depicted in the North-Western part of the Crimea, about the place of the settlement Razdolnoye.
