"Mr Hublot", a joint Franco-Luxembourger production, took the prize
for Best animated short film at the US Academy Awards on Sunday,
beating the Disney favourite "Get a horse!".
The film tells the story of Mr Hublot, part man-part robot, who lives in a retro-futuristic world, where characters are made of mechanical parts. The arrival of a robot dog, Robo Pet, a somewhat invasive companion, turns his life upside down.

The production took several years to make, but the two creators said
they are already working on "a new project, a long animated movie for TV
broadcasters."
