Two million Turks protested on Wednesday, in the memory of the 15
years old Berkin Elvan, who was victim of the police repression of the
anti-government demonstrations last summer.
The teenager, who was in coma for 268 days after he got injured from
police's tear gas, passed away three days ago. In his memory, Turks from
all over the country gathered in 53 Turkish cities to protest for his
death.
The rallies, which took place both in Konstantinoupoli and Agkyra caused conflicts between protesters and police forces. 70 people injured, including 19 policemen, reports Hürriyet Daily News.
