Now that the NBA has handed the progressive left a victory and made it a crime for team owners to hold politically incorrect opinions on race, the next phase of the purge can begin – excluding and exiling Christians for opposing gay marriage.
Earlier this week, Toure’ Murry,
a player for the New York Knicks, told MSNBC the NBA now needs to
target owners opposed to gay marriage. “Some of them are not the most
savory folks. Some of them are bank rolling anti-gay marriage
initiatives,” he said. Murry also said owners who support fracking
should be ostracized.
AOL Huffpo piled on when Craig Crawford
wrote that although Donald Sterling was booted for his private opinions
on social etiquette, others with more dangerous political ideas remain.
“Doug DeVos, who owns the Orlando Magic
and the direct-selling company Amway, gave the cash to the anti-gay
National Organization for Marriage back in 2009 through his family’s
charitable foundation. Much like the Chick-Fil-A folks,” he wrote on
Wednesday.
Crawford was stunned that a boycott in
response to DeVos’ personal beliefs went nowhere. “Not a peep from
anyone associated with the NBA about the ‘values’ they are now touting,”
he complained.
