A new Russian Orthodox church was opened in Türi, in central Estonia, after six years of construction.
The only Orthodox church in the Järva County was built in the
place of a wooden church, with financial support coming from across the
nation, ETV reported on Sunday.“Money began to come in by itself. People across Estonia made donations […] The whole of Estonia built this church,” the elder of the 60-strong congregation, Jelena Grigorik, said.
The new church is a identical, but smaller version of the recently opened Russian Orthodox church in the Lasnamäe district of Tallinn.
