California resident Bryan Lisitsin was shocked to see the Islamic themed tree topper at his local Walmart store, considering the fact that Muslims don’t celebrate the Christian holiday. According to the teachings of Islam, to put up a Christmas tree or to partake in the holiday in any way is considered “haram” which means “forbidden.”
What would be the purpose for America’s largest retailer to offer this item as an option? The decoration is a contradiction in and of itself and seems to be catered to the Coexister — but Muslims can’t coexist and certainly not on Christmas.
“I have shopped at this Walmart for 10-plus years and this was a first for me,” Lisitsin said. “Sign of the times, maybe, who knows?”
However, this isn’t a first for Walmart to cater to the Islamic minority by offering merchandise specifically for Muslims. It was recently reported that the retailer would soon sell “halal” food, according to The Miami Student.
It’s already deplorable that progressives and atheists push to take Christ out of Christmas, but to insert Islam into the holiday is beyond reason. Nothing says “Ramahanukwanzmas” quite like your very own Coexistence tree topper, and no progressive family can truly celebrate a “happy holiday” without an ambiguously Islamic decoration.
This would be the perfect decorative gift option for the passive-aggressive liberal in your life.
