Moscow- Russian President Vladimir Putin is shocked by the latest attack in Jerusalem.
"The latest violent crimes in Jerusalem, when people were attacked by axe-wielding men, is an extreme situation," Putin said at a Thursday meeting of the Security Council which considered the government's anti-extremism concept.
"Being aware of it and understanding the danger of this sort of manifestations and analyzing the reasons, we must timely make decisions that would save our country from this sort of things," Putin said.
Last Tuesday two armed Palestinians attacked a synagogue in Jerusalem. Five people were killed. The two assailants were also killed. A group called the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine claimed responsibility for the attack.
