St Basil's Greek Orthodox Church in Brunswick will rally behind Father Themi and his Orthodox Mission in Sierra Leone in the fight against Ebola.
The community will hold a free bazaar on the grounds of the Staley Street Church, with all proceeds being donated directly to the Orthodox Mission, currently facing one of its biggest challenges with a greater need for food and medical supplies.
According to the World Health Organisation, the Ebola virus has killed close to 5,000 people since breaking out in West Africa earlier this year.
To raise funds, there will be an array of bargains on offer at the bazaar, with everything from quality vintage clothing to books and toys; and if you don't find
something in the market stalls that takes your fancy, there's always the tasty Greek sweets and refreshments.
When: November 29 to 30, 11.00 am to 3.00 pm
Where: St Basil's Greek Orthodox Church, 15 Staley Street, Brunswick
