Thanks To Both Bush And Obama, Christians Fleeing Middle East

The failure of American policy in the Middle East is utterly monumental.
The radical destruction unleashed in the area – which has undoubtedly changed the region forever – will be a hallmark in future history books.

Now, when you consider Bush’s invasion of Iraq and Obama’s subsequent surrender, one thing becomes quite clear.

It seems that Bush and Obama are more akin than we originally thought.
Different political parties… same thirst for devastation.

The settling dust of the Middle East tells stories of complete genocide and destroyed artifacts of antiquity – as needless death, unbelievable hardships, and destruction have rained down.

A Lineage of Trouble

What happened to holding our presidents accountable?
Back when Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait in August 1990, President George H. W. Bush launched an invasion to free the Middle East emirate.

Bill Clinton continued the policy of George H.W. Bush, keeping the pressure on Iraq during his eight years in office. Economic sanctions and a United Nations “no fly zone” were official U.S. policy. Iraq’s economy cratered, and the Iraqi people were oppressed by Saddam.

Then after 9-11, George W. Bush attacked Afghanistan – but also added a full-scale invasion of Iraq to the menu. Bush told us at the time that he wanted to keep Saddam’s chemical, biological, and nuclear weapons out of the hands of terrorists.

In the summer of 2002, Colin Powell famously quoted the Pottery Barn rule to President George W. Bush about Iraq: “You are going to be the proud owner of 25 million people… you will own all their hopes, aspirations, and problems. You’ll own it all. You break it, you own it.”

Following years of American intervention, Obama’s decision to surrender to the forces of terror and pull out of Iraq unleashed a new wave of terror – not to mention, the final destruction of what vestiges of civilization remained.

The Ultimate Demise: Killing Off Christians?

What’s more, the war spread, while Islamic terrorists (controlling much of Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, and Libya) hold strong positions in Sinai in Egypt, the Gaza Strip, as well as Lebanon.

Bashar Assad

In Iraq, 90% of what was a safe Christian community (under Saddam Hussein) in Baghdad is gone. And Mosul – a city in which Christian services were held continually for over 2,000 years – is believed to have no Christians left living.

Ghattas Hazim, Greek Orthodox Bishop of Baghdad, says the Obama administration is turning a blind eye to the crisis situation: “It’s not true that the West is facilitating the emigration of Christians… I know many Christians and Orthodox in particular who went to embassies and did not get visas.”

As the last alternative, many of the Christians (who aren’t dead) have sought refuge in Kurdish-controlled regions of the Iraq.

Also be aware: ISIS has been particularly brutal to Christians. And it’s important for Americans to know that the weapons carried by ISIS are mostly manufactured for the U.S. Armed forces. When Obama left, the weapons were given to the Iraqi Army – which fled its posts once ISIS attacked. ISIS has captured over a billion dollars of U.S. armaments.

Ultimately, each successive American failure ends up being catastrophic for those left behind.
And what was once the Cradle of Christianity is becoming a wasteland thanks to the governing elites in Washington.
