St James Orthodox Church to Offer a Service to Bless the New Church Property on April 30th, 2015 at 6PM. On April 30, 2015, Fr James Bozeman and the members of St James Orthodox Church will offer a service to bless their new church property at 99 Meridian Road on Lady's Island, and the public is invited to attend.
At this service, prayers will be offered on behalf of the church community and for the sake of the future church building. It is traditional to plant a large cross in the ground on the location where the future church building will be constructed. The grounds themselves will be blessed with holy water.
